Averhoff A/S invests in new, large equipment
Averhoff A/S has invested a double-digit million DKK amount in a new, modern electronic waste processing system.
The installation, which is one of the most modern systems in Northern Europe, was opened by then Danish Minister for the Environment Troels Lund Poulsen on Friday 14 November 2008.
With the exception of televisions, monitors and flat screen televisions, the installation can process more or less all types of electronic waste - up to 25,000 tons of electronic waste annually. Unnecessary export of waste is avoided, Denmark secures jobs and maintains important technical efficiency within the waste recycling industry.
This way, Averhoff A/S can guarantee both manufacturers and distributors nationwide that the strict legislation imposed by the EU WEEE-directive as well as Danish ministerial orders on the collection and recycling of electronic waste is observed
