Further information for civil servants at recycling centers on how Averhoff A/S collects e-waste

We collect in accordance with the joint scheme "Elretur" and are pleased to service most household waste recycling centers in Jutland and on Funen.
First and foremost, you should make sure that Elretur and thus Averhoff A/S is the only collector at your recycling centre. Other joint schemes may collect from the same centres as Elretur.
If in doubt, enquire at your local city council office (usually at the Technical Department).
The Ministry of the Environment is revising the ministerial order (no. 664 from 27.06.2005) which among other things states that in future, e-waste must be sorted in:
1. Screens (televisions, monitors and flat screen televisions) and
2. Miscellaneous electronics (other e-waste)
We recommend that household waste recycling centers already sort according to above fractions.
We collect electronic waste in wire frame cages (see photo). These cages are adapted and designed specifically for electronic waste, and one of the sides may be opened half way or fully (e.g. to accommodate heavy televisions).
Depending on the size and resources of the recycling center, please appreciate that a minimum number of cages must be filled before you can book collection.
Once the cages are ready for collection, please contact our carrier Melgaard Transport A/S on:
Telephone no. +45 7433 7241
Fax +45 7433 7245
Once collection has been agreed with Melgaard, Meldgaard will make sure that the cages are collected. Upon collection, Meldgaard weighs the individual cages directly on the fork lift truck which Meldgaard brings on the trailer.
We hope for a mutual, good cooperation between recycling centre, Meldgaard, Averhoff A/S and Elretur.
