How to ensure environmentally correct disposal

As citizen, you may hand in your electronic waste in one of Denmark's household waste recycling centers.

Usually, wire frame cages or containers are set up for the waste collection of used and old equipment.

The use of recycling centers is free to private individuals as recycling is financed by income taxes paid.

EU-Directive (WEEE) and Danish ministerial order (no. 664 from 27.06.2005 from the Danish Ministry of the Environment) describe how to collect and recycle e-waste.

This way we ensure, that metals and plastics are recycled. Some smaller parts are incinerated and insignificant parts are deposited.

You may rest assured that your electronic waste is recycled to its original raw materials and that e.g. your computer and any data will not end up with another person.
